Bertha (Bertie) Turner, 95, of Kingsland, formerly of Penn, Pa., died at home on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018.
She was born April 2, 1923, in Penn Township, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Bach and Marie (Schultz) Bach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Turner; and four sisters, Margaret Barras (Robert), Grace Fulmer (Herbert), Aleen Keffer (Willis) and Dorothea Furlong (Orrin).
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Campbell and husband, Thomas, with whom she resided, and Donna Lavelle (Edgar); three grandchildren, William Lavelle (Carla), John Lavelle (Barbara) and Megan Hundt (Jeffrey); four great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Our Lady Star of the Sea in St. Marys. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
