
Toshiko “Bonnie” Martin, 92, of St. Marys passed away peacefully on May 21, 2017, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Bonnie had been a resident of Camden County for the past 26 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Marys. She was retired from the Charleston Air Force Base Exchange where she had been employed for many years as general manager. Bonnie had a love for tennis and was a tennis champion while in college in Japan. She was an avid Camden County and Citadel football fan, never missing any games.
Survivors include her daughter, Ginny Jacobs and husband Jerry of St. Marys; sons, James G. Booker and wife Susie of Orange Park, Fla, and John Booker of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Scott Garcia (Chris), Robert Garcia, Joseph Jacobs (Caitlin), Jimmy Booker (Amy), Kimberly Stuart (Jim), Dale Lesko (Amanda) and Johnny Booker; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Martin.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C., with Pastor Steve Kegley officiating.
