Freddie Noble, 57, of White Oak passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019.
Freddie was born Oct. 17, 1961, to the late Freddie Green and the late Doris Noble Green. Freddie was the fourth born of eight children, which four preceded him in death, one brother and three sisters.
Freddie was educated in the public schools of Camden County and graduated from Camden County High School in the class of 1979. In September 1979, Freddie joined the U.S. Navy and served his country until he was honorably discharged in July 1995. He was employed by the Georgia Department of Labor and served on the board of county commissioners and tax assessors.
He was a very devoted member of Brown’s Chapel AME Church, where he served for a while as the church secretary. Freddie loved the Lord and his motto was “Love ain’t love till you give it away.” His love and dedication to his church and community will be sorely missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters, Maxine Green and Rose “Rosetta” Williams (Jeepman), and his brother, Clifford Lee Green; aunts and uncles, Rosa L. Willis, St. Petersburg, Fla., Marie Hawkins, (Jerome), Jacksonville, Fla., Rev. Lessie Harrison, Chester, Pa., J.C. Green, Jacksonville, Fla., Ruth Hamilton (J.W.), White Oak, Elsie Green, Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Daniel Floyd Noble Jr., Brunswick; a close and dear friend, Wanda Cabal; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Browns Chapel AME Church in White Oak. There will be no wake. The body will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
