Christopher B. Glover Sr., 67, of Kingsland passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus. 

Christopher was born on May 1, 1952, to the late Margaret Glover in Charleston, S.C. He graduated from Rivers High School in Charleston. Chris continued his education by receiving a B.S. degree from Benedict College in Columbia, S.C., and an electrical engineering degree from Everest University in Jacksonville, Fla. He worked as a truck driver for a few years, then he started a career in retail. He enjoyed traveling and was a huge fan of the Golden State Warriors and Carolina Panthers. 

After relocating from Jacksonville to Kingsland, he joined First African Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor K.C. Davis. 

Besides his mother, preceding him in death are a sister, Cynthia Carter, and brothers, Thomas Glover and William Glover.  

He leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancée, Gloria Dawson of Kingsland; two sons, Christopher Glover Jr. (Nadine) of Florence, S.C., and William L. Glover Sr. of Gibsonton, Fla.; his grandchildren, Kirshauna Palmer and William Glover Jr.; sister, Grace Pendergrass of St. Marys; brother, Elder Paul Glover (Lara) of Jacksonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at First African Missionary Baptist Church, 495 N. Lee St. in Kingsland. There will be no wake. 

Sunset Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
