James Elmer Willcox, 72, of Kingsland passed away April 18, 2019, in Jacksonville, Fla., following an extended illness.
He was born in Elroy, Wis., on Nov. 6, 1947, to the late Harley Willcox and Emma Cox Willcox. He was an active member of the prayer team at Harbor Worship Center and traveled throughout the world spreading the word of God. He was an avid outdoorsman and very compassionate to others. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Charles, and a sister, EmmaJean.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anita Willcox; two sons, Darrell (Jennifer) Wilson and Curtis (Judy) Willcox; a daughter, Gloria (Ernest) Samson; 11 grandchildren, Gray Wilson, Sofie Wilson, Sullivan Wilson, Emma Willcox, Cameron Willcox, Jessica Willcox, Dawson Willcox, Karsten Willcox and Brielle Willcox; a brother, John Willcox and a sister, Patty Meyers.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
