Hattie Louise “Ms. Feet” Walker, 71, of St. Marys passed away Aug. 27, 2017, in Jacksonville, Fla., after a courageous long-fought battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Folkston to the late James Wade Petty and Mertice Ella Lloyd Petty. She was a homemaker and thought of as a mother figure to many of the neighborhood children of Camden County. Ms. Feet was a beautiful lady.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Glenn Walker; her children, Jason (Angie) Walker, Tammy (Rachel Rock) Walker and David (Terrie) Walker; three sisters, Mary Catherine Strickland, Shirley Hall, Lorraine Frost; two brothers, Wade Petty Jr. and Larry Petty; nine grandchildren, Ashton Byrnes, Halie Walker, Jacob Walker, Adrian Walker, Lauren Walker, Zan Leakway, Ryan Walker, Sloane Walker and Carlie Dumas; and two great-grandchildren, Allison Byrnes and Madison Byrnes.
A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys with Rev. George Anderson officiating.
