Michael L. Gall Jr. of St. Marys passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, after battling cancer with courage, dignity and grace.
Born May 3, 1947 in Perth Amboy, N.J., he was the son of the late Michael L. and Anna M. Gall. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Rev. Florian and Gerard.
Mr. Gall received his undergraduate degree from Mount St. Mary's University, his master’s from New Jersey City University and his doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. He was a teacher/administrator in Brick Township, N.J., and an adjunct professor at several New Jersey universities. Prior to retiring to St. Marys, he resided in Colts Neck, N.J. He was an avid golfer and gardener.
He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen Kalita Gall; sister, Lucille Gall; brother, Jerome Gall (Norine); sister-in-law, Gail Gall; brother-in-law, Paul Kalita (Kerrie); and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in St. Marys with Father Mariusz officiating.
