DRURY — Roy Shelton Drury, 73, of Waynesville passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in White Oak, his parents were Fred Fulton Drury, Sr. and Elizabeth Brockington Drury. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Crews Drury; his daughter, Ponda Drury; and four brothers, Fred Fulton Drury, Jr., Jack Drury, Jimmy Drury, and John Drury.
Roy worked many years in maintenance for Rich Products. He was a member of Horse Stamp United Methodist Church, and enjoyed pulp wooding, fishing, and running his sawmill.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Wisham Drury of Waynesville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Brad Crosby of Kingsland, Elizabeth and Robbie Millican of White Oak, and Karon and John Keene of Waynesville; seven grandchildren, Aly and Haylee Millican, Cody and Chloe Crosby, Kali Bennett, Samara Strickland and Addison Keene; his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Vera Drury of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his sister, Minnie Ratliff of Alabama. Also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, starting at 6 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. at Frye Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Chancey officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Pallbearers will be Steve Drury, Randy Drury, Russ Drury, Phillip Head, Jared Bellflower, Cody Crosby and David Drury.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Sizemore, Wetzel Head, Paul Drury, Larry Daniels and Junior Boyd.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
