Martha Nell Bennett, 84, of Kingsland passed away March 1, 2017, in Jacksonville, Fla.
She was born July 8, 1932, in Mayday to the late Carol Bentley Ziegler and Nolie Stenson Ziegler. She was the founding minister at Crossroads Pentecostal Church. She founded the church in 1995.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Bennett; and a daughter, Sonya B. Crocker.
She is survived by four children, Sheryl Keene, Randy Bennett, Tyrone Bennett and Donna Bennett; four sisters, Inez Ziegler, Elizabeth Palmetto, Ruth Turner and Betty Bennett; two brothers, Lawrence Ziegler and David Ziegler; grandchildren, Scott Crews, Belinda Crews, Tonya Smitherson, Randy Bennett, Richard Bennett, Tonileigh Olson, Kimberly Saturday, Brian Crocker, Garrett Tanner and Jessica Tanner; great-grandchildren, Timothy Holder, Madison Smitherson, Scott Crews, Dewayne Crews, Kaitlyn Crews, Joseph Crews, William Kemp, Abigail Kemp, Callum Crocker, Kadence Fitzherbert, Kaylee Saturday and Caleb Olson; great-great-grandchildren, Saren Crews and Kimber Crews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 6, at Crossroads Pentecostal Church with Rev. Chad Middleton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
