Helen E. Wood, 77, of St. Marys passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
Born Feb. 8, 1940, in Oceanside, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Russo. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Wood Sr.; daughter, Donna Wood; and great-grandson, Michael.
Mrs. Wood had been a resident of Camden County for the past 18 years. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her son, William H. Wood Jr. (Diane) of St. Marys; daughter, Darlene Wood (Richard) of New York; brother, Nicholas Russo Jr. of New York; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
