
JoFrances Sheffield Connolly, 80, of Woodbine died Wednesday evening (Oct. 2, 2019) at the St. Marys Senior Care Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Connolly was born in Colesburg to the late Herbert Stafford Sheffield and Josephine Hamilton Sheffield and had made Camden County her home for all of her life. She worked many years in the 911 dispatch office and also in the Camden County Courthouse. She attended Harrietts Bluff Baptist Church, volunteered at the Woodbine Opry and had a passion and love for all sorts of animals.
Mrs. Connolly is survived by her husband, Hal Connolly of Woodbine; two children, Robert Earl Moses (wife Jutta) of Woodbine and Elizabeth Ann VanBuren of Brunswick; five grandchildren, Sacha Moses of Aldershot, England, Robert Eli Moses of Brooklyn, N.Y., Faith Poppell of Brunswick, Joseph Poppell of Brunswick and McKenzie Karwacki of Brunswick; one great-grandchild, Asher Allen of Brunswick; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorialization is by cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Camden County, 950 S. Grove Blvd., Kingsland, GA, 31548.
